Violet A. Patti, 91 of Highland Park NJ passed away January 11, 2023 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick NJ peacefully with her family by her side.
Violet was predeceased by her parents, Pasquale and Margret Guadagnino, her two brothers, Joseph and Raymond Guadagnino and her husband, Antonino (Tony) Patti in 2013.
She is survived by her son, Anthony Patti Jr. of Highland Park and her nieces, Melissa Gaunt of Robbinsville, Christina Reichardt of Milltown, and a nephew, Pat Guadagnino of North Brunswick. She was a great aunt to her nephews, Michael John Gaunt and Travis Gaunt, Patrick Guadagnino, and nieces, Gina Guadagnino Betsch, and Lisa Guadagnino Losso. Violet adored her family and was loved by many more family members that live near and far.
Violet was born in New Rochelle NY, and later moved to Highland Park. She attended St. Paul's Catholic School and graduated Highland Park High School in 1948.
Early on, Violet worked as an operator for NJ Bell Telephone company with her future sister-in-law, Constance Patti, where she was introduced to her brother Antonio (Tony). The couple was Wed at St. Paul's Church in 1953 and happily married for almost 60 years. Violet and Tony resided in New Brunswick, until purchasing their home in Highland Park. Over the years, Violet helped her husband Tony at their iconic Pattis Restaurant in New Brunswick NJ, until 1978. Following that she became a supervisor for Littman Jeweler's in Highland Park And retiring in 1991.
Violet was passionate about her country as she had a strong interest in politics and history. She loved her family and her home, enjoying many hobbies and interests. Framed artwork and collections of miniature houses and colored glassware filled her home with character. Violet will be surely missed and her kind heart and gentleness will live on forever.
Family and friends can pay their respects to the family at Jaqui - Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 S Adelaide Avenue in Highland Park, on Saturday, January 14 from 10 am to 11:45 am. A prayer service will occur at 11:45 am. The interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway NJ.
