Biography
Victoria T. Calantoni, age 81, of Edison, died on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J.
Born in Highland Park, she lived in North Brunswick for many years before moving to Edison. In 1961, she was the first woman crossing guard. She had been a cook for the Linwood School and High School in North Brunswick Township.
She was the former president of the Ladies Auxiliary at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church and a former member of the Altar Rosary Society.
Victoria was pre-deceased by a daughter, Donna Reap, and five brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Calantoni, two sons, James Calantoni of North Brunswick and Vincent Calantoni Jr. of Avenel, a sister, Rose Kimball of Toms River, N.J., ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
