Tony DeLuca Obituary

Tony DeLuca, age 90, of Highland Park, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2019. Tony was born in Twin Rocks, Pennsylvania and raised in Highland Park, New Jersey where he met his future wife, Ann Romer.

He worked as a machinist for Triangle Cable for over 30 years. He also worked at Highland Park High School and Congregation Ohav Emeth as a custodian for over 20 years combined. Tony was affectionately known by his family and friends as “Doc”. His nickname began when Tony was a young boy because he was always so sweet in helping people bandage up their wounds and making them laugh with his funny jokes.

Doc always had a kind word, a funny joke or a piece of candy ready for those who were lucky enough to know this gentle man. He always put family first, loved to laugh and was a proud veteran of the US Army in the Korean War.

He is predeceased by his parents: Frank and Frances DeLuca and his sisters: Marge, Agnes, Mary, Ann (Tootie) and Frances (Panny). Doc is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ann, and his son, Tony and his wife, Colleen, and his grandson, Colton and his older brother, Dave.
