Timothy Lavelle, age 48, of Franklin Park, died on Monday, October 28, 2013 at his mother’s home in Piscataway.
Born in Plainfield, Tim lived there and in Piscataway for many years before moving to Franklin Park approximately ten years ago. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Kean University and later went onto to graduate with his master’s degree in computer science from N.J. Institute of Technology. Tim was an IT specialist with Verizon Wireless in Basking Ridge where he has worked for several years. He loved tennis, going to the movies, and most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his two nieces. Tim will always be remembered for being a loving devoted son to his Mother and for his great sense of humor, his generosity, and his willingness to always help others.
Tim’s mother, Marie, passed away on October 24, 2013.
Timothy is survived by a brother, Scott Lavelle of Red Bank, a sister, Lisa Berman and her husband, Scott, of Highland Park, and his two nieces, Emily and Jaclyn Berman of Highland Park and his father, Michael Lavelle of Bluffton, South Carolina. He will be greatly missed not only by his family but also by his many friends.
Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 1st at the Reformed Church of Highland Park, 19-21 South Second Avenue, Highland Park. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 Friday at the Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tim’s memory can be made to the Arthritis Foundation, N.J Chapter, 555 Route 1 South, Suite #320, Iselin, N.J. 08830.
