Thomas Sacco Obituary

Thomas A. Sacco, age 69, of Highland Park, died Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the Regency Heritage Center in Somerset following his battle with cancer.

Born in New Brunswick, he graduated from the Middlesex County Vocational School in New Brunswick and had lived in Highland Park for most of his life. Tom had worked as a service technician for Electrolux Company in Edison before his retirement. He was a communicant at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church in Highland Park. Tom was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, Adolfo and Natalina Sacco, a brother, Frank Sacco and a niece, Susan DeFrancesco.

Tom is survived by his brothers, Louis Sacco and his wife, Dolores of Romono, CA and Alcide Sacco and his wife, Mary Jane of Edison, two sisters, Rita Kendzulak and her husband, John, of Piscataway and Lena DeFrancesco and her husband, Patrick of Piscataway, nine nieces and nephews; Catherine and Frank Sacco, Maryann Reilly, John Kendzulak, Lori Lerner, Lisa Romano, and Jeffrey, Eric and Jason Sacco. He is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m on Tuesday at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church,(Transfiguration of the Lord Parish) in Highland Park. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
