Shakida Maria White passed away unexpectedly on Friday evening, August 2nd, after fighting to recover from medical complications. She was born on April 12, 1983, in the Highland Park, New Jersey, community, where she was nurtured and blossomed. After receiving her diploma from her aunt in a heartwarming moment, Shakida continued her education at college in Philadelphia before finding her passion and earning a certificate as a home health aide. She carried out a mission of helping others, contributing to this mission in various capacities through her careers, philanthropy, projects, and friendships.
Lovingly known as Kiki, she welcomed her first daughter, Aniyah Harvin, into the world on June 22, 2003, through her union with Kyle. She later found lasting love with Bobby, with whom she lovingly welcomed her second daughter, Egypt, on July 15, 2005. Their family was recently completed by her pride and joy, her grandson Ahmad. A woman of many passions, but none as fulfilling as helping others, Kiki was a caregiver, babysitter, housewife, mother, grandmother, and friend to so many. She was devoted to being the person her family and friends could always depend on.
She will be deeply missed by her mother, Allison White; her siblings, Lewis (Duke) Hooper, John (Bub) White, Shaneika (Neek-Neek) White, and Keesha White; her spouse of 19 years, Bobby; her daughters, Aniyah Harvin and Egypt Appolon; her grandchild, Ahmad; as well as her extended family, friends, and all the lives she touched with her love. Kiki was predeceased by her grandparents, Julia White and Robert White, John Hooper and Doris Hooper; her father, John (Jazzbar) Hooper; and her aunts and uncles, Robert (Hollywood) White, Vicky White, Annice White, and Lewis Hooper.
