Ruth Bach Obituary

Ruth J. Bach, 92, was born on February 14, 1932 in Plainfield, New Jersey and passed into her Saviors arms on February 13, 2025.  She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard (2013), who was the love of her life, her parents Ruth and John Monzione, and her beloved sister, Rosemary DePasquale.

Ruth graduated from North Plainfield High School on June 14, 1950.  She started her career as a Federal employee in 1953 working for the Department of Defense at Fort Dix, NJ.  She then transferred to The 39th Ordnance Group headquartered at Camp Kilmer, Piscataway & Edison, New Jersey under the 78th Division for the Department of Defense.  Ruth worked there until her retirement in 1990.

Ruth and her husband, Bernard, volunteered for over 30 years at the Parker Nursing Home on River Road, Highland Park, NJ.  They had a vacation cabin in the Poconos for many years where they enjoyed nature and seeking treasures at garage sales.  After selling the Poconos cabin, they purchased a place in Florida to enjoy their retirement years in the winter months.  Ruth was known by all for her warmth, generosity, and gigantic heart.

Ruth is survived by her nephews, Douglas Henderson (Roxanne) and Michael Henderson, a niece Cynthia Henderson, cousins Patty Steel (Richard), Tony Monzione (Barbara), Patrick Ianello (Diane), Phyllis Ianello, Ann Marstelier, Tony Yacka (Claudia) and her lifelong friend, Alwayne Blechar.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation at Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 S. Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park, NJ on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 between the hours of 4 pm to 7 pm.  Parking is available immediately behind the funeral home or on S.
