AGE: 101 * HIGHLAND PARK

Rose M. Duffy, age 101, of Highland Park, died Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the McCarrick Care Center in Somerset.

Born in Oneida, PA, she resided in Highland Park for most of her life.

Rose had worked as a private duty nurse at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick and was a lifetime member of the N.J. Nurses Association.

She was a devout communicant at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church in Highland Park and was also an active member of St. Paul's PTA, the Altar Rosary Society and the Church's senior citizens group. She was a 60 year member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Loretto.

Rose was pre-deceased by her husband, James A. Duffy, Sr. in 1963 and by two sisters, Nora Krobock and Catherine Pizanis.

She is survived by a daughter, Sister Roseanne Duffy, OSF, of Highland Park and a son, James A. Duffy, Jr. and his wife, Diane, of South Brunswick; two grandsons, James A. Duffy, III of New York City, John Duffy and his wife, Jill, of Newtown, PA, a grand-daughter, Kimberly Tuite and her husband, Robert, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and great-grandchildren, Patrick, Harry and Elizabeth Tuite and Matthew Duffy, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church, Highland Park. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m, Friday at the Funeral Home.
