Richard John Rausch, 75, of Highland Park, NJ passed away at JFK Hospital in Edison on Monday, October 17, 2022.
Richard was a lifelong resident of Highland Park living in the same home that his parents built along with his brother. He joined the US Army and served during the Vietnam War earning 2 Bronze Service Stars. Mr. Rausch worked as a forklift operator in the warehouse for Chanel in Piscataway, NJ for many years.
He was an avid motorcyclist in his younger days. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting at Hackle Barney State Park and got an 8-pointer in 1993. Richard also worked on small engine repairs to landscaping and snow removal equipment in his spare time. He also loved working on classic automobiles and trucks. Richard also restored different types of bicycles.
Richard was predeceased by his parents, Arthur (1980) and Helen (2021). He is survived by his brother, Arthur Rausch Jr. of Highland Park.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 S. Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park, NJ on Sunday, October 23, 2022 between 1 pm and 3 pm. His funeral will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 11 am. Richard will be interred in the family plot at Saint Mary of Ostrabrama Cemetery, Cranbury-South River Road, East Brunswick, NJ.
