Richard C. Lee

I'm sad to announce that Richard C. Lee, 89, of Somerville New Jersey, had passed away on March 8th, 2021, after a valiant 5-day long battle with sepsis at the Somerset Medical Center. He had suffered complications resulting from the blockage of a kidney stone.

He was born on December 24, 1932, in Shanghai China, and is survived by his only daughter, Jessica Lee, and his nieces and nephews. Richard was a very modest, kind-hearted, and generous soul, a devoted father, a loving uncle, and a loyal friend. His compassion for both people and animals were truly remarkable and exceptional. He was a man of simple tastes but many talents... from his days of playing soccer (in his youth) to his fondness for playing and teaching violin, anything that he endeavored to do, he pursued with extraordinary vigor... from his intense interest in ancient history to his love for comedy and art, he had an unshakable zeal for learning, and for living. In keeping with this spirit, we will gather to celebrate his life and the blessing that he was to all of us.

A viewing service will be held for his family and friends on Saturday, March 20, from 2-4pm at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home in Highland Park, New Jersey.
