Moneer Mohamed Tannu

It is with great sadness that the family of Moneer Mohammed Tannu announces the passing of their patriarch.

Moneer was the loving husband of Mary Elizabeth Tannu; father to Antonio, Sabrina and Faizal Tannu; father-in-law to Shaleeza and Jennifer; grandfather to Caitlyn, Briana, Alexa, Ashly and Isabel; and brother to Shakeer, Schaefer, Basheer, Rasheeda, Saleema, and Shareen.

He loved his family with his heart and soul, spending almost every waking minute on the phone with one loved one or another. His greatest joy was spending time with his family eating, watching movies and cricket, and tending to his garden.

His favorite saying was, "I will live until i die."

The family will receive visitors at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 985 Avenue C (corner of 47th Street), Bayonne, NJ on Tuesday beginning at 11 am. A celebration of his life will commence at 12:30 pm. He will be buried in Bayview Cemetery, 321 Garfield Ave, Jersey City immediately after the funeral service.
