Michael F. Brown

Michael Francis Brown, age 69, of Somerset, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J. Born June 15, 1938 in Washington, DC, Michael grew up in Hermosa Beach, California before moving to Metuchen in 1952. He graduated from Metuchen High School in 1956 and went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, from Ohio University in 1960. He was then commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and stationed at Donaldson Air Force Base in Greenville, South Carolina. After his discharge from the USAF, Michael spent his career as an Advertising Executive for General Electric, Merrill Lynch, Johnson & Johnson, and BBD&O in Manhattan. He finished out his career at the United Way of Central Jersey.
Michael loved good food, good music and the beach. In his search for these things, he found Cascais, Portugal which became his second home. Time spend in Cascais over the past 25 years resulted in many excellent evenings shared with good friends from around the world.
