Michael Francis Boyles, 78, passed away at the VA Medical Center, Lyons, NJ on April 19, 2025.
Mr. Boyles was born in New Brunswick and lived in Highland Park and Edison. He joined the US Army and served his country as an SP-4 E4 11e20 Armor Crewman, during the Vietnam War. He was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, 2 O/S Bars, SPS M-16 Sharpshooter Qualification Badge, SPS M-14 Sharpshooter and Army Commendation Medal (ARCOM).
Michael was a driver for UPS, owned Rocket Man Limo Service, and Rocket Man Cable Co. He enjoyed playing pool, racing cars with NHRA, and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was passionate about 70s classic rock.
Mr. Boyles is survived by his son Michael and his wife Holly. He is also survived by his siblings: Maureen and her husband, Tom; Kathleen; Colleen and her husband, Steve; Patty and her husband, Bob, and Sean. Mike’s greatest honor was being the grandfather of Maggie, Katie, Michael, and John. He was predeceased by his brother Dennis (2002) and his sister-in-law Karen "Q".
He loved his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren unconditionally, until his very last breath. We will forever be grateful for him.
