Melvin James Miller

Miller, Melvin James, 79, of Branchburg, New Jersey died on November 6, 2023 at Embassy Manor at Edison Nursing and Rehabilitation surrounded by his loving family.

Melvin was born in Mt. Vernon, New York and moved to New Jersey many years ago.  He was a Service Appliance Technician for General Electric in West Caldwell, NJ for 31 years.

He was a frequent visitor at the Ocean Grove arts & craft shows.  He enjoyed displaying his concrete garden ornaments.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 36 years, Velia (nee DiMeglio) and his children Melvin Jr., Todd, and Michele.  He also cared for his step-children: Natalia, Madison, Nicholas DiMeglio, Alexandra Drake.  He was most proud of his grandchildren: Envy DiMeglio, Egypt Stukes, Ezra, Elijah, Erica, Ella, Gianna, and Todd.  Melvin has a sister, Marion James, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to the family on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 S. Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park, New Jersey between the hours of 12 noon and 4 pm.  Mr. Miller will be laid to rest at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 1:30 pm.  Parking is available in the lot behind the funeral home or on S. Adelaide Avenue.
