Mego Salvatore Saienni knew how to make the ones they loved know that they were loved. Their creative genius was appreciated in many realms. They were an incredible illustrator, talented musician, thoughtful poet, a soulful cook and a deeply empathic friend. From a young age this creativity was appreciated which led them to achieve high honors throughout school and to be accepted into some of the best art schools in the world: Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Goldsmiths University in London and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Mego was involved in and adored by their creative communities in NYC and Upstate NY. They were a passionate writer and would share their poetry at countless readings and played guitar in the band Rubber with their sibling.
They are loved and missed dearly.
They are survived by parents, John Saienni and Deborah O’Brien, siblings: Caroline Kautz, her husband Gregg, Tina Saienni, Drew Saienni and his partner Cidney Hajek. Grandmother Emily Saienni and many loving Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
