Mary Ann Boncelet, 97, of Highland Park, NJ passed away on May 31, 2025 at Saint Peter’s Hospital, New Brunswick.
Mary Ann was born in McCook, Nebraska to Winifred and Patrick Boyle. She was a resident of Nebraska and Carteret for many years. She moved to Highland Park in 1997. Mrs. Boncelet received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and a master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She taught First Grade in the Woodbridge School System for 25 years and retired in 1991.
Mrs. Boncelet was predeceased by her husband, Charles in 1993, sisters Catherine Van Arsdale, Jeanne Oldweiler, and Patricia Browne, and a brother, Daniel Boyle. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Stroup, and four children, seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren: Charles George of Newark, DE, and his ex-wife Carol, their son Matthew and his wife Kimberly and their two sons, Thomas and Jonathon, and daughter Amy; George Edward and his wife Melissa of Morris Township, NJ, and their two sons, Evan and Justin; Peter Patrick of Naples, FL, and his ex-wife Christina and their children, Michael, Kyle and his wife Sally, and Olivia; and Roger Martin of North Brunswick, NJ.
Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend a visitation at Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 S. Adelaide venue, Highland Park, NJ on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 between 8:30 am and 9:30 am. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be offered at St. Paul the Apostle RC Church (Transfiguration of the Lord Parish), S 6th and Raritan Avenues, Highland at 10 AM. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, New Jersey.
