Biography
Mary Yochum, age 92, of Highland Park, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 the Genesis Care Center in Westfield, N.J.
Born in New Brunswick, she lived in Highland Park for 90 years and loved working in her garden.
Mary had worked for over 25 years on the production line at Ethicon, Inc, in Bridgewater.
Mary is survived by a niece, Barbara Vanderheyden and her husband Peter, of Fanwood, N.J.; a nephew, Peter Yochum, of Jay, NY, a great- niece, Kate Vanderheyden and her husband, Michael, and their son, Brody, of Scotch Plains, N.J., and a great-nephew, Matthew Vanderheyden of Fanwood, N.J. Mary is also survived by her loving caregiver, Tsira, who cared for her so well in the past few years. The family would also like to acknowledge the Community Care Hospice program for their excellent services.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick, N.J. (www.jkfuneralhome.com)
