Mary Kazura, age 87, formerly of Harper Street, Highland Park, died Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Grandell Nursing Center in Long Beach, NY. Born in Rzeplin, Poland, she immigrated to the United States in 1949. She lived in South River and New Brunswick before moving to Highland Park where she lived for many years. Mary had worked for over 30 years as a seamstress with the International Ladies Garment Workers Union #150 in South River. She was a member of St. Mary of Zyrovicy Belarus Orthodox Autocephalic Church in Highland Park. Mary was pre-deceased by her husband, Peter Kazura, in 1992. She is survived by her children, Anna, Helen and Alherd as well as her seven grandchildren.
