Marta R (Rodriguez) Suarez

Marta R. Suarez, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, New Brunswick, NJ surrounded by her family.

Marta was born in Santa Clara, Cuba and came to the United States in 1960 and settled in Miami, FL. She was employed as an Executive Secretary for 10 years by A.T. & T. in Miami, FL. Marta relocated to Highland Park in 1995 and began working as a clerk for the Borough of Highland Park and transferred to the Highland Park Police Department in 2000.

Ms. Suarez is survived by her son, Jose Suarez of Maryland, and her daughter, Marta T. Suarez, and her husband, Michael Hazel, of Piscataway. She is also survived by one grandchild, Daniel Hazel. She was predeceased by her parents, Teresa and Manuel Rodriguez, and 12 siblings.

Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Marta on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 between the hours of 2 pm and 5 pm at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 S. Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park, NJ. Fr. Abraham will perform a prayer service at 3 pm. Parking is available behind the funeral home and on S. Adelaide Avenue.
