Marie Lavelle Obituary

Marie Lavelle, age 80, of Piscataway, died on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Born in Plainfield, Marie lived there before moving to Piscataway where she has lived for the past 28 years. She loved bowling, taking long drives, and most of all she loved her family especially her two grand-daughters. Marie will always be remembered for being a wonderful mother and for her great sense of humor. She had worked as a realtor for Century 21 Ed Nugent Realtors in Piscataway for many years along with being a busy homemaker.

Marie’s son, Timothy, died on Monday, October 28, 2013.

Marie is survived by her two children; Scott Lavelle of Red Bank and Lisa Berman and her husband, Scott, of Highland Park, her two grand-daughters, Emily and Jaclyn Berman of Highland Park, a sister, Frances Hess of Plainfield, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday November 1st at the Reformed Church of Highland Park, 19-21 South Second Avenue, Highland Park. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marie’s memory can be made to the Arthritis Foundation, N.J Chapter, 555 Route 1 South, Suite #320, Iselin, N.J. 08830.
