Margaret "Peg" (Oughton) Randolph, 97, of Highland Park, died Friday, March 6, 2009 at her brother Stephen's home in New Brunswick. Born and raised in New Brunswick, Peg lived in Highland Park for most of her life. Peg had served as president of the family business, A. Oughton Trucking Co. in New Brunswick for many years. Later, she worked as the office manager for William G. Kuhn, M.D. for 20 years before retiring in 1987.
Peg was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick where she was a member of the Golden Age Club. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Group and the Altar Rosary Society at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church in Highland Park. Peg was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America as well as the IOLA Council of Pocahontas, both in New Brunswick. She was a member of the Moose Club in Edison and a member of the A.A.R.P. International in New Brunswick. Peg also volunteered at the Rose Mountain Care Center in New Brunswick.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Nelson F. Randolph, in 1962, three brothers and a sister.
Peg is survived by her children; Marjorie Warren of Orlando, FL, Nelson F. Randolph, Jr. of Orefield, PA and Judith Whiting of Cambridge, MA, A brother; Stephen Oughton of New Brunswick. seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick.
