Margaret Kidell, age 92, of Highland Park, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J.
Born in DuPont, Pennsylvania, she lived in Highland Park for many years.
She was a communicant at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church (Transfiguration of the Lord Parish) in Highland Park where she also served as the Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Council.
She had worked many years as a Para-professional for the Highland Park Board of Education before her retirement.
Marge served as the Past President of the Mother’s Guild at Our Lady of Sorrows School in Jersey City. She was the Past President of the N.J. State Federation of the Women’s Club in Highland Park.
She was predeceased by her husband, Chester A. Kidell in 2002 and several brothers and sisters.
Marge is survived by her sons, Chester Kidell and Robert Kidell and his wife, Patricia, four grandchildren; Tara, Katy, Christopher and Zakary, a brother-in-law, Raymond and wife, Mary Anne, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 20th at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday, March 21st at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church (Transfiguration of the Lord Parish) in Highland Park. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery Mausoleum, Colonia, N.J. Margaret contributed to many charities. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in her memory to a charity of your choice.
