Kenneth Merrill Obituary
Kenneth L. Merrill, age 85, of Piscataway, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Somerset Medical Center in Somerville.
Born in Highland Park, he lived there before moving to Piscataway 50 years ago.
Ken had worked for 39 years as a Line Foreman at PSE&G before his retirement many years ago. He had served his country as an Army veteran and was stationed in Germany.
Ken enjoyed woodworking and most of all he loved sailing.
He was pre-deceased by a son, Kenneth D. Merrill, in 1986.
Ken is survived by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn Emmons Merrill, a son, Douglas Merrill. a daughter, Diana Merrill, and three sisters, Thelma Bochmann, Mary Jane Koutsonikas, and Lois Van Doren.
Relatives and friends may call from 12 Noon until 4 p.m. on Saturday, at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. (www.jkfuneralhome.com) A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. following the calling hours. Cremation will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
