Katherine Litchfield

Katherine DiGiacomo Litchfield, age 85, of Manchester, formerly of Highland Park, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at her home.
Born in New Brunswick, she graduated from Highland Park High School in 1942 and lived in Highland Park for most of her life enjoying summers in Sea Isle City, N.J. She lived in Sunset Beach, North Carolina before moving to Manchester three years ago. Katherine had worked as a medical transcriber for the Middlesex General Hospital (now Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital) in New Brunswick. She later worked as a secretary for the Highland Park Board of Education retiring in 1984.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Wilfred C. Litchfield, her children; Duane Litchfield and his wife, Jura, of Kennebunkpoint, ME, Gregg Litchfield and his wife, Barbara, of Loveland, OH, Douglas Litchfield and his wife, Linda, of Copley, PA, and Nancy Galayda and her husband, James, of Highland Park, a brother, Joseph DiGiacomo of Pennsylvania, eight grandchildren, Rosalind, Katherine, Jonathan, Christopher, Casey, Jesse, James and Kristen and one great-granchild, Allison.
