Karen Boyles

Karen J. “Q” (Curley) Boyles of South Plainfield, passed away surrounded by her family on February 17, 2015 at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Somerville.

She was born in Neptune, N.J. and grew up in Colts Neck. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, N.J. majoring in Physical Therapy. While in college she met the love of her life, Sean. Q and Sean married, had two children and live in South Plainfield.

Q enjoyed reading on the beach, traveling, and collecting elephants.

She was predeceased by her mother, Pauline (Grega) Curley and Father, George Curley.

Q is survived by her loving husband, Sean, daughter, Shannon Brace and her husband Craig of North Brunswick; a son, Kevin of South Plainfield; sister, Paula Johnson and her husband, Alan of Waynesville, NC and brother George Curley of New Market, VA. She is also survived by her college girlfriends, including her dear friend, Nancy Furnback.

Viewing hours will be held from 4-8 p.m on Friday at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Matthew the Apostle R.C. Church, Edison. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Support Community of Central Jersey www.cancersupportcnj.com and/or to the Steeplechase Cancer at RWJ Hospital.
