Julia Wagner

Julia H. Wagner of Highland Park, N.J., passed away at the age of 59 on April 7. A native of Pennsylvania, Julia studied at Goshen and Moravian Colleges, taught in Poland in the 1970s, and received a PhD in Germanic Studies from Cornell University in 1996. Julia worked for much of her life as a teacher. Perhaps most happy in nature, she devoted her last years to photographing birds along the Raritan River and the Jersey Shore.

Julia is survived by her husband, John Callahan, her brother, Henry, her sister, Sylvia, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved cats, Rudi and Eiko.

Services will be private under the direction of the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, Highland Park, N.J.
