Joyce Weinberg Obituary

Joyce Weinberg (nee Smith) peacefully passed away on January 12, 2013 at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.j. after a long illness. She is survived by her loving family including daughter Valerie Weinberg, son David Weinberg and daughter-in-law Betty Weinberg, daughter Amy Sundquist Weinberg, daughter Judy Weinberg, son-in-law Erik Dienemann, and grandson Max Dienemann, brother James Smith and sister-in-law Barbara Smith, and her niece, Tracy Smith, a nephew Eric Smith and grand nieces, Desirae and Kayla. She is also survived by her many friends, neighbors and loving caregivers in Highland Park.

Born and raised in Camden, N.J., after high school, she received her degree in education. She then lived most of her life in Highland Park, N.J. She loved spending time with family and friends and she really enjoyed reading, especially mysteries. She was very proud of her family and loved hearing about what they were up to and their accomplishments. She deeply treasured her family and friends and she will be greatly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a donation in her name, please giving to the Highland Park Public Libary or a charity of your choice.

An open and informal celebration of her life will be held from Noon to about 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. Following the service, a luncheon will be held immediately after at the home of Judy Weinberg and Erik Dienemann, 169 Lake Avenue, Metuchen. Friends and family are welcome.
