Georgette (Bach) Henderson

Georgette Henderson (nee Bach) of Spotswood, NJ died on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge NJ surrounded by family.

Georgette worked at Rutgers University as an administrative assistant for over 30 years, and at times worked two additional jobs to support her three young children that she was raising on her own. Her vigor for life continued after her retirement, as she had more time to enjoy the things she loved, which included family functions, shopping, movies, and playing with her cat. Georgette always managed to bring laughter to every party, and at times provided the entertainment, with her many "Holiday Themed" outfits. Whether it was Christmas or 4th of July, Georgette would wear her colorful, celebration tops to match her festive earrings. Her favorite holiday to dress was likely Memorial Day, as she proudly displayed her "red, white, and blue" top, pants, socks and jewelry in honor of our veterans. She was also passionate about The America Heart Association and the Humane Society.

Georgette was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Gertrude (Oxley) Bach, her sister Gerry Bach, and three brothers: Harry Bach Jr., Bernie Bach, and Alvin Bach.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia Henderson and Michael Henderson of Spotswood, NJ, Douglas Henderson and his wife Roxanne Reslier of Piscataway, NJ, and her sister-in-law Ruth Bach of Highland Park, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to this feisty woman at The Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 S. Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park, NJ on Sunday March 24, 2019 from 2 pm to 6 pm. A Catholic blessing will be on Monday March 25, 2019 at 10 am in the funeral home. Her interment will follow at the St. Peter's Cemetery, 500 Somerset Street, New Brunswick, NJ.
