Frank J. Flake, age 44, of North Brunswick, N.J. died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at his home.
He was born in Belleville, N.J. and graduated from North Arlington High School. Frank graduated from Bergen County Community College with his Associate’s Degree.
Frank was employed as a Technical Analyst for Maersk Line, Inc. in Madison, N.J.
He loved sports especially baseball and the “Yankees.” Frank enjoyed the beach, fishing, dancing and travel. He was always generous and had a big heart.
Frank was pre-deceased by his paternal grandparents, Fred and Pauline Flake and his maternal grandparents, Frank and Elizabeth Servidio.
He is survived by his partner, Reginald “Reggie” Jackson of North Brunswick, his wife, Karlene D’Elia Flake of Bayville, N.J. his daughter, Gabrielle E. Flake of Bayville, N.J. his parents, Frederick and Joyce Flake of Brick, N.J. a brother, Frederick M. Flake, Jr. and his wife, Ann Marie, of Denville, N.J., a nephew, Zachary Flake, a niece, Haley Flake, both of Denville, N.J. and his god-daughter, Erin Mac Donald of North Arlington, N.J. and his dog, Spike.
Relatives and friends may visit from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Reformed Church of Highland Park, 19-21 South Second Avenue, Highland Park, N.J. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frank’s memory may be made to the Reformed Church of Highland Park, 19-21 South Second Avenue, Highland Park, N.J. 08904, The Pride Center of N.J., 85 Raritan Avenue, Highland Park, N.J. 08904 or to the Haven Hospice Program, 65 James Street, Edison, N.J. 08820.
