Esther Buck, age 77, of Monroe, formerly of Highland Park and Seaside Park died suddenly and unexpectedly on March 10, 2011 at her home.
A lifelong member of the Reformed Church of Highland Park, she served on the Consistory and sang in the choir for many years.
Esther was as a volunteer for over 50 years at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She also served as both President and in many board positions of the RWJUH Auxiliary.
Esther was a long time member of the Seaside Park Yacht Club and had served as the Marina chairperson for several years.
She enjoyed water and snow skiing, was an avid knitter and needlepointer, but most of all, cherished her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of almost 56 years, Raymond J. Buck, her children; Linda Brader Bloomfield, Sharon Buck Teahl, Raymond B. Buck and Thomas J. Buck; two sisters, Hilda Lewis and her husband, Lloyd, and Gloria Collins and her husband, Harry; five grandchildren; Joseph S. Teahl, Richard T. Bloomfield, Jacqueline S. Teahl, Caleb Vinch and Catherine Buck; many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 14th at the Reformed Church of Highland Park, 19-21 South Second Avenue, Highland Park.
