Elizabeth Stevenson, age 83, of Highland Park, died Friday, March 23, 2012 at the McCarrick Care Center in Somerset, NJ.
Born in Newark, N.J., she lived in Highland Park for 42 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Lodge #116 in Metuchen.
Mrs. Stevenson had worked as a secretary for the Edison Township Board of Education for 25 years and retired in 1994 from working at the J.P. Stevens High School in Edison.
She is survived by her children; Jean Favretto and her husband, Julian, of Edison, James Stevenson of South Brunswick, Howard Stevenson and his wife, Celeste of Highland Park, Ann Lakomski and her husband, Henry of Fords, William Stevenson and his wife, Julia of Cocoa, FL, and Richard Stevenson and his wife, Lori of Highland Park, a sister, Jean Donhauser of Pompton Lakes, N.J., 8 grandchildren; Christian Favretto, and his wife, Rebecca, Brian Favretto and his wife, Barbara, Nicole Stevenson, Henry Lakomski, Heather Favretto, Michael Lakomski, Christina and Courtney Stevenson, 5 great-grandchildren; Nathan and Jonathan Favretto, and Brianna, Brooke, and Brady Favretto and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park.
Funeral services will be held at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday at the Funeral Home followed by the interment at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, N.J.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
