Edward Michael Andras, 90, of Edison, NJ passed away at his residence after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Andras was born in Carteret to Andrew and Elizabeth Andras. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 to 1961. After his service Edward was a prison guard at Rahway State Prison for a brief period. Next, he was employed by Uniman Printers in New Brunswick as a cutter. He became a supervisor in the department after a few years. He also worked as a community service worker at St. John’s RC Church in New Brunswick and served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Paul the Apostle RC Church in Highland Park. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 6306.
Edward was predeceased by his wife Dolores in 2020. He is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline Ann Walton and Carolyn Blair-Swendsen. Edward has two grandchildren: Marissa Ann Mendez and Richard Percy Walton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 S. Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park, New Jersey on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 between the hours of 3 pm and 7 pm. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be offered at noon (12 pm) on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Transfiguration of the Lord Parish (St. Paul the Apostle RC Church), Raritan and S 6th Avenue, Highland Park, NJ. He will be laid to rest alongside his wife at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia, New Jersey immediately thereafter.
