Dorothy Wright, 89, of Highland Park died on May 22, 2017 at Bright View Senior Living in Warren Twp. N.J.
Born in Perth Amboy, she lived in Somerville and New Brunswick before moving to Highland Park where she lived most of her life.
Dorothy had worked as a clerk for New Bell Telephone Co. in Elizabeth for many years until her retirement. She was a long time communicant at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church (now Transfiguration of the Lord Parish) in Highland Park where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, W. Richard Wright, her sister, Marie Emmons and her brother, Harry Emmons.
Dorothy is survived by her sister, Evelyn Merrill; a niece, Diana Merrill, and three nephews, Peter Emmons, Paul Emmons, and Douglas Merrill.
Viewing hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish, St. Paul the Apostle Church in Highland Park followed by interment at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway, N.J.
