Demetrio Nizama

Demetrio Nizama 93, of Catacao, Peru passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 in the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, New Brunswick surrounded by his family. 

Born October 8, 1928 in Peru, he was a son of the late Reyes Nizama and Dolores Sullon. He had been employed Edison Plastic, Edison, New Jersey.

Demetrio will be remembered for his kind and giving nature. He was a friend to everyone. He enjoyed spend time with his family, dance, and eat Peruvian food.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Natasha, five children from his first wife, Arturo Nizama (Blanca Nizama), Haydee Nizama (Edwin Ortiz), Gina Nizama, Magdalena Nizama (Martin Aguirre) and Araceli Alvarado. Grandchildren: Erika, Jerry, Eric, Christian, Ivan, Alex, Evelyn, John, Katherine, Brian, Ashley, Steven, and Marcos, and several great grandchildren. He's the family Hero. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Leoncio (brother), Cleotilde and Leonor (sisters).

A viewing will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 S Adelaide Ave. Highland Park NJ. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
