David Younge, of Highland Park, NJ continues to be in our memory and in our hearts after a long battle of cancer. He lived an outstanding 52 years before dying on Wednesday October 2, 2013. Dave was born in New York and grew into an intelligent, humorous person. He attended Caltech, played music, and worked as a technical writer. Dave was active in his community, including as publisher of The Highland Park Mirror. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, always making jokes and funny references to his childhood. Dave is loved and missed by his mother Edith, siblings Richard, Karen and Diane, wife Barbara, children Clara, Mandella and Danae, and of course the many friends that supported him. Like butterflies set free, Dave was able to really connect and share his colorful ideas and spirit with the world. Although he is no longer with us, his heart and soul will still fly free. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Haven Hospice in Edison, NJ (through www.jfkmc.org/jfk-foundation) or for the “Justice and Mercy” activities of the Reformed Church of Highland Park (www.rchighlandpark.org). There will be a Celebration of Dave's Life Service held on Sunday, November 17th beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall at the Reformed Church of Highland Park. 19-21 South Second Avenue, Highland Park.
