In loving memory of Catherine (“Kay”) Baldwin Pitt who died on June 17 at the Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge NJ. Kay recently celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends. Kay was born in Pennington, NJ on April 15, 1916, the oldest child of Edith and Charles Baldwin. She lived in Highland Park for 60 years before moving to the Reformed Church Home in 2013. Kay was a 1938 graduate of Trenton State College (TCNJ) and taught third grade in Highland Park’s Hamilton School for over 20 years. She retired in 1978. Kay is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Lawrence W. Pitt who died in 2002, and her siblings Doris Baldwin Gardner, Hilda Baldwin Poinsett, and Charles Baldwin. Kay is survived by her daughter, Susan Pitt Anderson of Milwaukee, WI and her son and daughter-in-law, Don Pitt and Penny Spence Pitt of Queensbury, NY. In addition, she leaves grandchildren Sally Anderson of Evanston, IL, Catherine Anderson and her partner William Knight of Milwaukee, WI, Brian Pitt and his wife Emily Pitt of Duncannon, PA, and Kevin Pitt of Colorado Springs, CO. Kay was the proud great-grandmother of Casey and Rory Knight and Jaxon, Xander and Alayna Pitt. She is also survived by a half-brother, Ronald Baldwin of Clarence, NY, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Services were private.
