Bernard J. Bach, age 86, of Highland Park, died Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J.
Born in Highland Park, he was a lifelong resident. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Bach was a communicant at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Transfiguration of the Lord Parish in Highland Park and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council.
He was employed by General Motors Corporation in New Brunswick for 30 years before his retirement in 1982.
Mr. Bach was pre-deceased by two brothers, Harry Bach Jr. and Alvin Bach and a sister, Geraldine Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Ruth Monzione Bach, a sister, Georgette Henderson, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:30-10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. A funeral liturgy will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Transfiguration of the Lord Parish, St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church in Highland Park. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park Mausoleum in Piscataway.
