Awilda Santana, 62, of Clark, NJ passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 at the Lyons, VA Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Ms. Santana was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. She lived in Riverside County, CA, and moved to Edison, NJ to raise her family. She was recently a resident of Clark, NJ. She graduated from Evander Childs High School in the Bronx and attended Bronx Community College. Awilda served in the US Air Force as a Sergeant. After the Air Force she worked for the United States Post Office and as a school bus driver, then made her career as a courier for Fed Ex.
Awilda was predeceased by her father, William Munoz (2025). She is survived by her two children: Andre Ortiz and his wife, Katie, of Clark, NJ and Alysa Santana and her husband, Javier of South Amboy, NJ. She is also survived by her mother, Fanny Munoz, and a brother, William Munoz and his wife, Julia of South Bound Brook, NJ. She has two grandchildren: Gabriel Lopez-Santana and Leo Ortiz.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation on Monday, December 29, 2025 from 11:30 to noon at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 S. Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park, NJ. A prayer service will be offered at noon in the funeral home. Awilda will be laid to rest immediately thereafter at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick, NJ.
Parking is available immediately behind the funeral home or on S. Adelaide Avenue.
