Anthony Patti, age 88, of Highland Park, died Thursday evening, September 19, 2013 at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Highland Park for many years.
Anthony was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the VFW Post in New Brunswick.
He was the co-owner with his brother, Joe, of Patti’s Restaurant in New Brunswick for many years. Anthony went on to own Patti’s Liquor Store in North Brunswick and in his later years, he was a bartender at the Golden Lion Inn in Milltown.
He was a longtime communicant at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church in Highland Park where he served as an usher for many years.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 60 years, Violet Guadagnino Patti, a son, Anthony Patti Jr. of Highland Park, a sister, Mary Lemus and a brother, Sam Patti, both of Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish, St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church in Highland Park. Interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
