Anne H. Smith, age 88, of Somerset, formerly of Highland Park, died Saturday, June 20, 2009. Born in New Brunswick, Anne resided in Highland Park for most of her life before moving to Somerset in 2000. She was very active with the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #88 in Highland Park. She will always be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Anne was pre-deceased by her husband, William T. Smith Sr. in 2001 and a son-in-law, Darren Hull in 2008. She is survived by three sons; William T. Smith, Jr. of Milltown, Robert W. Smith and his wife, Judi, of South Brunswick, and Thomas B. Smith of Orange, two daughters, Barbara A. Kelly and her husband, Thomas of Hillsborough and Lynn M. Hull of Franklin, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two brothers, three sister, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
