Biography

Angela Frances Ambrosio, age 86, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, died on Friday September 18, 2015 in Oviedo, Florida.

Born in Jersey City, N.J., Angela lived in Middletown, N.J. before moving to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1995. Angela was a spirited and loving mother and grandmother, and a devoted and caring wife who loved to read, play Bridge, and spend time with friends and family.

Angela taught herself dictation and typing, and worked as a secretary for many years. She retired as a secretary for the Comptroller’s Office at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, N.J.

Angela was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Sam (Saverio) Ambrosio, and her sister, Barbara Mulligan.

Survivors include Sue Ann (George) Fitzpatrick of Oviedo, Florida; John (Jacqueline Hanoman) Ambrosio of Muncie, Indiana; Michael (Gerri Callahan) Ambrosio of Highland Park, N.J.; and Richard Ambrosio of Neptune, N.J. Angela’s six grandchildren include Mark (Jackie) Fitzpatrick; Sean (Maria) Fitzpatrick; Patrick Ambrosio, Isaac Ambrosio, Joseph Ambrosio, and Matthew Ambrosio.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 23rd at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park, N.J. Internment will follow at the Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City, N.J. Friends and relatives may call from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, September 22nd at the Funeral Home.
