Andrew S. Siroki, age 89, of Highland Park, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in Perth Amboy, he lived in Highland Park for most of his life.
Mr. Siroki was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #3117 in Edison. Active in boy scouting, he served as a scout master for Troop #41 in Highland Park. He was a communicant at St. Paul the Apostle R.C. Church, Highland Park.
Mr. Siroki was an avid fisherman and loved animals.
He had worked as an electronics technician for Lockheed Corp and many years at Princeton University before his retirement.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Irene Siroki, in 2003, his parents, Andrew and Theresa Siroki, a brother, Frank, and three sisters, Theresa, Rose and Ann.
He is survived by two daughters, Janet Siroki of North Plainfield and Debbie Siroki of Highland Park, a son, Andrew M. Siroki and his fiancée, Donna, of Toms River, a sister, Helen German of Florida and “Spooky Kat.”
Viewing hours will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 11th at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 South Adelaide Avenue, Highland Park. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 12th at the Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home followed by interment at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
