Wayne Long

Highland Park - Wayne F. Long, 65, of Highland Park, peacefully passed surrounded by his loving family on Friday, August 24, 2018 at his summer home in South Seaside Park. Born in New Brunswick, he was a lifelong resident of Highland Park. Wayne was employed by the State Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of Unemployment Benefits, for the past 43 years.Wayne was predeceased by his parents John N. and Dorothy (Nugent) Long and his brother John B. Long. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Carol (Meseroll) Long, daughter Grace and her husband, Alton Hallgreen, daughter Victoria and her fiancé, James Pieters, newborn granddaughter Aurora Wren Hallgreen, and "his son" Louis. He is also survived by his loving sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and nieces and nephews.Visiting on Sunday from 2 pm to 6 pm at Jaqui-Kuhn Funeral Home, 17 S. Adelaide Ave, Highland Park. Funeral mass on Monday at 10 am at St Paul Apostle Church, 502 Raritan Ave, Highland Park. Interment at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick.
