Jewish Funerals

With Jewish Funerals, we can do a formal funeral in our chapel or just a grave side service. The process begins when we consult with the family of the deceased to gather information and determine their level of observance.

The local Chevra Kadisha can come to the funeral home to perform the Tahara. The Chevra Kadisha is the local Orthodox Jewish group that performs the ritualistic washing of the body and dressing it in a shroud. The remains are placed in an Orthodox casket. The body is then taken to the Jewish cemetery.

All veterans of the US Armed Forces are eligible for a free casket.
